The palace situated in Kolhapur, in the state Maharashtra which is Indian state. New palace is build in between 1877-1884. This palace is the best memory of the Raja Shri Rajashri Shahu Maharaj. The ground floor of the new palace accommodates shahaji Chhatrapati museum.Several tourist from across the country visit the new palace each year. This museum exhibits royal ways of existence. The Darbar hall occupies a double-height space in middle of the palace. The sidewalls displays lobed arches filled with stained glass illustrating scenes from the life of Shivaji. A raised throne is placed at one end of the maharajah with his hundredth dead Tiger, elephant hunts and a series detailing how to train a cheetah.

The Panhala fort is also known as Panhalgad. 20 kilometres northwest of Kolhapur in Maharashtra, India. It is strategically located in Sahyadri mountain range which was a major trade route from bijapur in the interior of the Maharashtra. It was the the centre of several skirmishes in the deccan involving the Marathas, the Mughals and the British east india company, the most notable being the Battle Of Pavan Khind. Panhala is the Hill fort of height 845m(2772 ft). which is built in 1178-1489(major expansion). Panhala is built by Bhoja II, Adil Shah. Fort is fully built in stone and lead. Battle of The Pavan Khind are happen there.

Rankala lake is a picturesque lake in the Kolhapur district of the state Maharashtra in western india. Rankala lake is believed to be linked to a well in Panhala fort. In recent past, Kolhapur municipal corporation has built “Padpath Udyan” for lakeside walk. This lake is constructed by Chhatrapatis of Kolhapur. It is located in western side of the Ambabai Mandir(Mahalakshmi Temple) Kolhapur.
This wide and specious lake is so called because at its centre lies the temple of Rankabhairav.

Jyotiba Temple is a holy site of Hindustan near wadi Ratnagiri in Kolhapur district of Maharashtra state in western india. The deity of the temple is known by the same name, and is held by the locals to be an incarnation of three gods: Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesha, and Jamadgni. An annual fair takes place on the full moon night of the hindu months of Chaitra and vaishakha.
legend says that the three gods took the form of jyotiba to destroy the evil ratnasur. Jyotiba help mahalakshmi in her fight with the demons. He founded his kingdome on this mountain, and belong to the nath sampradaya. He was born in the hand ofs of Vimalmbuja, the wife of the sage pougand, on Chaitra Shukla 6th . lord Jyotiba is the incarnation that destroy raktabhoj rakshasa, and ratnasur rakshasa.

Temple of Kolhapur in Maharashtra, India, is one of the most famous temple of Hinduism of the the state. Temple is located on the bank of the Panchaganga river, it is about 230km south of Pune. The temple belongs architechturally to the Chalukya empire and was first built in the 7th century. The temple is referred in multiple puranas. There is evidence to show that the kokan king Kamadeo, Chalukyas, Shilahara Yadavas of Devagiri dynasties visited this city. Adi Shankaracharya also visited. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Sambhaji reigned. Kirnotsav is celebrated in the Mahalakshmi temple at Kolhapur, when the rays of the sun falls directly on the deity of the time of sunset. It is said that the sun god pays his homage to Mahalakshmi Ambabai for three days in the year. This will be on the occasion of “Rath Saptami”.

Shalini Palace in the city Kolhapur in the Indian State Maharashtra was built in 1931-34 at cost of Rs.800,000 and was named after Princes Shalini Raje Kolhapur. The Palace stand on the west bank of the picturesque Lake Rankala, and is surrounded by towering Palm trees, lush greenery and lovely gardens. The palace has been converted 1987 into 3 star hotel and used a background for many films. Because of heavy losses it had to be shut down in 2014 and given over to the Municipality. It is closed by now (sep 2019).
